Pop star-turned-actress Christina Aguilera opened Super Bowl XLV with a memorable performance of our National Anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner” — yet it was unforgettable for the wrong reasons.
Aguilera apparently forgot the lyrics to the fourth line of the anthem, and instead fumbled through with something like this: “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming?”
The real line?: “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?”
At least she got the “watched” part correct.

Before Aguilera’s embarrassing rendering, Glee’s Lea Michelle commanded the attention of the stadium with her flawless rendition of “America the Beautiful,” reassuring the millions of viewers watching that not every young starlet is entirely clueless.
