Is Rhys Ifans Starring In The Next James Bond Film?

It's been reported that Rhys Ifans, who will be playing Dr Connors/The Lizard in "The Amazing Spider-Man" next year, will be joining the cast for "BOND 23". He will reunited with Daniel Craig. They both starred together in "Enduring Love" way back in 2004.
It's unknown at the time if this is just a rumor or if it's true. There's also no news on who he would be playing. I'm taking a MASSIVE guess that he may be playing a younger type of "Q" character. Someone's saw him in "The Amazing Spider-Man" photos and thought that he looks good as a nerdy looking character, enough said!!!

UPDATE: Rhys Ifans has been confirmed to have joined the cast of "BOND 23", but it's still yet unknown which role he'll be playing. I still say it could be a younger "Q".
