Both Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi have confirmed that the long-awaited "Evil Dead" sequel/quasi remake/reboot is finally happening after it was announced to be going into production since 2004. It's took 7 years to really officially go into production. THANK GOD IT'S HAPPENING!!!! This is what Campbell said about the new film,
"Believe in the remake, dog! The project is real. In the works. Cool as hell. Scary as hell."
Campbell has recently joined Twitter and confirmed it was happening on it. Raimi has came forward and gave fans the name of the new director who will be directing the fourth film in the horror franchise. That lucky bastard is..........Federico Alvarez! Alvarez is making the new film for Raimi's production company, Ghost House Pictures and Mandate. Both Raimi and Alvarez are in Detroit right now, where they hope to cast for the film. They intend to have this film's Ash character, to be played by a girl instead of the previous Ash played by Bruce.
